Albert Schoening Dies at Manning
Albert Schoening, 70, was found dead of a heart attack in his basement apartment at the John Reinart home here about 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 1953. His body was found by Mr. Reinart, who called Dr. John Hornberger of Manning.

No Inquest
Dr. Hornberger notified Dr. John R. Morrison of Carroll, County Coroner, who said death was attributed to a heart attack and no inquest would be held. Dr. Morrison said death had occurred from one to two hours before Mr. Schoening's body was found.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ohde Funeral Home here. The Rev. W.P. Gauer, minister of the Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Schoening, a painter and decorator, had been in semi-retirement the last few years.

Born April 9, 1883, at Manning, to Friedrich and Augusta (Huenemueller) Schoening, he had spent most of his life in and near Manning. He was married September 18, 1914, to Mary Hull of Manning at Carroll.

Survivors
Surviving with his wife, Mary, of Carroll, are three children: Mrs. Wayne (Edna) Farrell, Carroll; Mrs. Bill (Frances) Vieth, Omaha, and Roy Schoening, San Francisco, California, and four grandchildren, Duane Farrell, Carroll; Karen Loneman, and Bill and Lorenz Vieth, Omaha.

He also leaves two brothers, Robert Schoenlng, Lakefield, Minnesonta; and August Schoening, San Diego, California; and four sisters: Mrs. Emma Williams, Chicago, Illinois; Erna Schoening, Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Frieda Downey, Drew, Oregon; and Mrs. Augusta Bowden, Seattle, Washington.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Friedrich Schoening, one son, one daughter, and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
