Rites Held for Albert C. Rudnick
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lincoln Township, for Albert C. Rudnick, 89, of Gray, who died Saturday morning, August 23, 1952.

Burial was in Lincoln Township Cemetery. Pallbearers were four grandchildren: Donald Beck, Harold Beck, William Ahrendsen, and Marvin Wiemann, and two nephews, Edwin Schloemer of Lowden, and Herbert Rudnick of Gray.

Mr. Rudnick, son of Henry and Albertine (Witt) Rudnick, was born at Gross Tuchen, East Pomerania, Germany, January 16, 1863. He was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran faith.

At the age of 19 years, he came to America with his parents, who settled at Walnut, Iowa.

In 1886, he was married to Mathilda Borkowski of this community. Four children were born to them: Carl, who died in infancy; Mrs. Carl (Bertha) Beck, who died in 1915: Mrs. Harry (Hattie) Roebel, Manning, and Mrs. Ida Jillich, who died in 1942.

The couple farmed in this community for six years and then moved to Hartley, where they were living when Mrs. Rudnick died in 1894.

Mr. Rudnick was married to Wilhelmina Kroeger, of Lowden, February 20, 1895. After two years at Hartley, they returned to this community, retiring to Gray some 37 years ago.

Surviving are his widow: his daughter, Mrs. Hattie Roebel, Manning, and son-in-law, Carl Beck, of this community, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
