Albert Frederick, son of John and Minnie (Hell) Musfeldt, was born August 8, 1914, on the family farm near Manning, Iowa. He attended country school near his home and graduated form Manning High School in 1932. Albert then farmed with his family.
On May 29, 1937, Albert was united in marriage with Arlene J. Lohmeier at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning. They farmed until 1949 when they moved into Manning and Albert began working at Frahm Motor in the parts and booking department. In 1954 he started work with Dultmeier Manufacturing as a purchasing agent. In 1962 Albert partnered with Ralph McGrath and Clifford M. Johnson in purchasing the Dultmeier operation and changed the name to M.J.M. Enterprises. He sold his share in 1979 and continued to work part time until his retirement in 1986.
Albert was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he was baptized on October 18, 1914, and confirmed on March 26, 1929. He was also a member of the Manning/Manilla Country Club where he enjoyed his two favorite pastimes of golf and walking.
On September 13, 2002, Albert became a resident of the Manning Plaza Nursing Home in Manning, Iowa, where he died Monday, January 20, 2003, at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 12 days.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Melinda and husband, Herman Johansen; brothers: Herman Musfeldt and wife Lydia, John Musfeldt and Ed Musfeldt; and a brother-in-law Edmund Gaskill.
