Albert L. Moser OBITUARY.
March 13, 1913 Manning Monitor

Albert L. Moser was born on the 23rd day of August, 1879, in New York City and died February 28, 1913, at Clarinda, Iowa. A year, ten months and ten days before death his mind gave away and he was taken to the hospital for treatment. There he seemed happy and contented. Even the day before his death he attended and enjoyed a musicale. The same evening he suffered from a congestive fever and passed away peacefully and without a struggle at 2:30 in the morning. At the hospital he was given every attention possible and at times his mind seemed to rally. However his body decreased in weight and at his death he weighed less than a hundred pounds. The deceased was a 1907 graduate of Manning High School and of the law department of Highland Park College. For seven years he was cashier of the bank at Laurel, and was at one time committee clerk for Warren Garst.

Between two and three years ago he returned to Manning and took up land and insurance work. While working at this business it was noticed that his mind was failing and he was taken first to Des Moines and then to the Clarinda Hospital.

He was a member of a number of lodges, being a Mason, a member of the Commandry and a Shriner. He was also an Eastern, Star, a member of the K.P. and the Woodman lodges. He was also a member of the Elk Lodge.

Burial took place at Walnut. The funeral was held under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge. After the services, which were very impressive, the body was laid beside his mother in the Walnut Cemetery. The Manning Masonic and Woodman Lodges sent delegations to assist with the burial. Three beautiful wreathes of flowers were also sent by the Shriner lodges of Des Moines.
