ALBERT E. MOSER
Funeral services for Albert E. "Bert" Moser, 77, of Ames were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 14, at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames with Rev. Harold E. Harryman of First Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Ames Municipal Cemetery following Masonic rites at the funeral home.

Mr. Moser died at 12:15 p.m. November 11, 1966, at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames following heart surgery a month ago.

Son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Louis and Frances (Von Egert) Moser of Manning, he was born at Marne on June 6, 1889, and came to Manning as a small child. He graduated from Manning High School in 1907.

He came to Ames from Excelsior, Minnesota, and owned and operated the Moser Leather Goods Store until his retirement last year. He was a member of First Methodist Church, Elks Lodge, Lions, and was a 50-year Mason. He was a member of Joshua Chapter, 127 RAM, White Shrine; Story County Shrine Club, Ascension Commandery, Gebal Council, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, Eastern Star, and Amaranth. He served on the Board of Mary Greeley Hospital for 12 years.

Survivors Include his wife, Freda; a son, Paul B. Moser, Fremont, Nebraska; a daughter, Mrs. John Sawin, San Carlos, California; two sisters, Marie (Mrs. Dan R.) McGrath, Manning, and Melitta (Mrs. Charles) Palmatary, Wilmington, Delaware; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mae (Branson) Moser in 1954; two brothers, Erwin and Ralph Moser; a sister in Infancy and two half-brothers.
