A. Loretto Shea, 84, Sioux City, died Sunday, August 13, 1972, at the Brentwood Good Samaritan home, Le Mars, after a long illness. Funeral services will be Wednesday, at 9 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Leeds, with Rev. Arnold Huewe officiating. Burial will be in St. Thomas cemetery, Madison, South Dakota, under direction of the Larkin funeral home, Sioux City. The rosary will be recited at 7: 30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Six nephews will serve as pallbearers. Miss Shea was born March 28, 1888, in Carroll County. She was employed as a telegrapher at Northern Pacific railroad from 1916 until 1956 when she retired. She moved to Sioux City in 1956 from St. Paul. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Survivors are a sister, Mrs. William (Elizabeth) Bornholtz of Sioux City and several nieces and nephews.

Miss Loretta Shea, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
James Shea of Madison, died Sunday morning at the
Good Samaritan Nursing Home at Le Mars, Iowa. Miss Shea
was born March 28, 1888, at Manning, Iowa. She came to Madison in 1909.
Survivors include a sister Mrs. Will Bornholtz of Sioux
City, Iowa, and two nieces Mary Treloar and Adelia Hart, both of Madison. Besides her parents, she was
preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters, including Mrs. John Hart
and Ella Shea, Madison. Funeral services will be held
at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Catholic Church at Leeds, Iowa, a suburb of Sioux
City. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery, Madison, around 1 p.m.
Notes: Agnes Loretto Shea, born March 28, 1888, in Manning, Iowa, and died August 13, 1972 in Le Mars, Iowa. Never married. She had a twin brother.
On her tombstone it is spelled "Loretto" but will be spelled Loretta in various other sources.
