Adele (Jahn) Mordhorst was born April 21, 1894, in Manilla, Iowa, and passed away on June 3, 1989, at the Life Care Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
On February 16, 1916, Adele married Edward W. Mordhorst in Manilla. She was a homemaker and they lived on several farms in Crawford County before moving to Cheyenne in 1946.
Adele was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and belonged to the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Funeral services were held June 6, 1989, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cheyenne with the Reverends David Casperson and Barry Stueve officiating. Interment was in Bethel Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin Mordhorst and his wife of Cheyenne and Paul Jackson and his wife of Gooding, Idaho; two daughters-in-law, Norma Mordhorst of Cheyenne and Winnie Mordhorst of Willcox, Arizona; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Adele was preceded in death by her husband Edward, three sons, four grandchildren, three sisters and five brothers. Pallbearers were Randy Mordhorst, Robert Mordhorst, Paul Mordhorst, Jim Cook, Mark Walter, and Rick Williams.
Friends may contribute, if they wish, to Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Aid.
