Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Johnson. Pianist for the funeral mass will be Jane Heithoff. Music will be provided by Ada's granddaughters: Anna Belzer, Kristel Leib and husband Steven, and Jake Gute. Lectors for the funeral mass will be Ada's granddaughter, Michelle Riesselman-Harrah, and Ada's grandson-in-law, Dan Belzer. Gift Bearers will be Ada's great-grandchildren: Alexa and Ethan Riesselman, Aubrey and Caleb Belzer and Vincent Prine. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Ada's granddaughters: Rachael Schreck, Leah Riesselman, Kristina Riesselman, Kelly Riesselman, Lindsey Riesselman, and Michelle Riesselman-Harrah. Casket Bearers will be Ada's grandsons: Erik Riesselman, Chad Riesselman, Kurt Riesselman, Isaac Riesselman; Ada's grandson-in-law, Chad Schreck; and Ada's nephew, Mike Conway. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 3:30 p.m. on Monday where there will be a rosary at 4 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 p.m. The casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Church at 9 a.m. on Tuesday where visitation will resume until time of the funeral mass.

Born on July 5, 1927, at Cambridge, Iowa, Ada Alice was the daughter of Roy and Marion (Tomlinson) Gill. She spent her younger years in the Cambridge community where she received her schooling. Following her schooling she moved to Carroll and began working at Ocoma Foods.
On September 25, 1947, Ada married Lawrence Riesselman at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Carroll. The couple made their home in the Carroll community where she raised her four sons and later worked as a cook at Sts. Peter and Paul and Kuemper Schools. Ada was then employed at General Electric in Carroll for ten years until her retirement. Ada enjoyed shopping, her flower garden, and the holidays, especially Christmas. Her greatest joy was her entire family. Ada was a member of Holy Spirit Church in Carroll.
Survivors include her husband Lawrence of Carroll; her sons: David Riesselman and wife Karen of Lake View, Dennis Riesselman and wife Sue of Willey, Allan Riesselman and wife Cindy of Dedham, and Michael Riesselman and wife Connie of Willey; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Walter Riesselman of Vail, Regina Frischmeyer of Glidden, Andrew (JoAnn) Riesselman of Carroll, Leonard (Donna) Riesselman of Halbur, Alice Christiansen of Denison, Kathryn (Bob) Curnyn of Denison, Vernon (Betty) Riesselman of Halbur, Dolores Riesselman of Carroll, Edith Riesselman of Kansas City, and Linda Riesselman of Omaha; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended relatives.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters: Eileen Barton, Lela Carpenter, Bette McNary, Helen O'Mara, and Grace Conway; and her brothers: Edward and Walter Gill.
