The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church, Virgil, South Dakota, with the Rev. Earl Stucke, Huron, officiating. Burial will be in the Virgil Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday afternoon or evening al Brooks Memorial Chapel, Huron.
Fritz Andresen was born January 6, 1895, at Manning, Iowa, to John and Lena (Langbehn) Andresen. He moved to the Wolsey area in 1910 with his parents and farmed in the Virgil-Wolsey area. He married Emilia Kaldun, February 16, 1942, at Le Sueur, Minnesota.
Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Helen) Hindman, Alpena, South Dakota; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, John of Virgil, South Dakota; Herman of Lewisville, Minnesota; and Harry of Wolsey, South Dakota; two sisters, Mrs. John (Erma) Schueter, Lake Crystal, Minnesota; and Adeline Andresen, Huron, South Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, three brothers and one sister.
The family prefers memorials.
