Shannon found my web page many years ago and sent me several e-mails.
She sent me a number of pictures to scan and hoped to make a trip to Manning in 2016 to bring me a lot more pictures, but it never worked out for her.
She had some military pictures she was going to bring along.
Hopefully a family member will be able to mail or bring me those pictures someday so I can scan them so they get preserved in my Manning Historical Database.

I don't recall ever meeting her but from her e-mails, I could tell she was a very pleasant person and wished I would have met her at least once.

Mil Horbach let me go through her scrapbook and pictures in 2004. She had some amazing Manning pictures. After she passed away I tried to track down what happened to them, but could never find out. She took those amazing pictures of the mini Jap sub that was captured after the attack on Pearl Harbor and was brought to the Mainland to help raise bonds for World War II.
I had hoped to see if she had other pictures and also re-scan the ones from 2004, but fear they have been thrown away - at least I have some average scans of them.

At some point in time Shannon found the picture and e-mailed it to me, but it was a copy that was scanned crooked and low resolution.
Hopefully a family member can find the original and send it to me to make a high resolution scan of it.
