As I constantly work on Manning history, I often wonder how something like the "music of the time" influences people - both good and maybe bad.
I'm sure it does in ways most of us will never realize or willing to admit.

Born February 7, 1954, Gene was the son of Joseph and Margaret (Schmitz) Croghan.
Preceded in death by his brother, William.

Mass of Christian Burial for 69-year-old Gene Croghan of Harlan, formerly of Manning, will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Manning. Friends may visit with the family from 5 - 7 pm on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 pm.

Gene died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at his home in Harlan.

Gene is survived by his brothers: David (Patty) Croghan of St. Ignatius, Montana, Charles Croghan of Manning; Gerald (Nancy) Croghan of Manilla; James (Jody) Croghan of Ballwin, Missouri; sisters Patricia (Marc) Arp of Manning; JoAnne (Terry) Halbur of Prescott, Arizona; sisters-in-law Mary Kruse of Massena; Virginia Croghan of Carroll; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
