Hank Williams "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" 1949

Luis Guzman, Jr.

Luis "Lou" Guzman, Jr., son of Luis Guzman, Sr., and Dolores (Bautista) Guzman was born May 27, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas. He passed away December 19, 2020, in Surprise, Arizona, after a short hospitalization for Covid, at the age of 71.

At 2 months of age, Lou's family relocated to Denver, Colorado, where he spent the next 50 years. He graduated from Randall School of Denver in 1967. He then attended Metro State College in Denver, graduating with an Associate Degree in Small Business Management.

On August 13, 1992, he was united in marriage to Marci Mundt (formerly of Manning). He and Marci owned Diabetes Equipment & Referral Service for 25 years. They spent 13 of those years at Lake Panorama, Iowa. Upon retirement they moved to Surprise, Arizona.

Lou was not a stranger to anyone. He had an outgoing personality and loved to entertain others. His main passion was playing one of his several guitars and singing for others. He loved being able to golf in the Arizona sun and enjoyed many cruises with Marci. He loved helping others by working with fellow diabetics and volunteering for Hospice.

Lou is survived by his soulmate Marci and the following family members: Barb & Dick Brusegaard of Ft. Mohave, Arizona; Jeanne King of Grand Island, Nebraska; Randy & Deanne Mundt of Scottsdale, Arizona; Dick & Beth Mundt of Manning, Iowa; Lori & Brian Potthoff of Manning, Iowa, Alan & Joann Mundt of Dawson, Iowa, Linda Mundt of Longmont, Colorado; Sylvia Straw of Peoria, Illinios; and oh so many nieces and nephews that he adored.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Eleanor Watkins, brother-in-law Gary Mundt, sister-in-law Julie (Mundt) Houdeshell, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
