For those of you who actually read my stories and information you'll constantly see my requests for people to get me their old family/Manning pictures so I can go through them to find hidden treasures that they don't even know they have.

Below is a perfect example of scanning various family collections where I noticed Twin Gables in the background.

Most people only pay attention to what is in the foreground but I often find all kinds of long-lost historical scenes.

So I'll again make a plea to anyone with old Manning/family pictures and history to contact me so I can work it out with you to scan your stuff.

Twin Gables now Texaco station
July 1, 1958
A business change was made in Manning recently whereby Twin Gables, owned and operated by Puck Implement for 21 years, became a Texaco Service Station under new management. John Horn, who has managed Twin Gables for 21 years, joins the mechanical staff of Petersen's Garage.

New operator of the Texaco station being serviced by Ken Van Kramer of Denison, will be Clarence Edmunds, recently a mechanic at Struve Motor Co.
Monson Oil Service will also be head quartered at the Texaco location.
Announcements of the various changes will be found in today's Monitor.
