On December 6, 1964, Wayne married Pamla Bellows, daughter of Delmar E. and Rebecca (Schwarck) Bellows of Spencer, Iowa. Early in their marriage and at the age of 23, Butch bought his first two trucks from Claus Nielsen and began a life long career of trucking. The family moved to Sioux City in the fall of 1968. For five years Butch hauled for Pacific Adhesive. In 1973, the plant closed in Sioux City and the family returned to Manning where he hauled for various truck companies until 1975. At that time, West Central Iowa Rural Water Association hired him as start up manager. Butch worked with the contractors and various companies to help put the first rural water system (Nishnabotna System) in this area. For two years, he worked for WCIRWA and had Pam as his bookkeeper. In 1977, he returned to his first love, trucking, hauling livestock for various farmers in the area. In 1979, he began long haul trucking, still as an independent trucker. Wayne and Pam have four children: Lana, Donald, Bobbie, and Linda.
Lana Sue, married Matt Mallory of Stuart, on October 1, 1994 at the Methodist Church in Manning. She and Matt live in Norwalk, Iowa and have two children: Christine Nicole, and Lucas Wayne.
Donald Edward, married Linda Young of Barstow, California, on September 10, 1989. They live in Manning and have three children: Jason Garrison, born in Barstow, California, Lee Thomas, born in Barstow, California, and Curtis Dean born in Denver, Colorado.
Bobbie Jo, married Lynn P. Barry of Irwin on September 3, 1994, in Manning at the United Methodist Church. They live on a farm outside of Manilla and have four children: Courtney Rose, Dillon James, Kira Nicole, and Riley Ann, (all born in Manning).
Linda R. Jensen, lives in Des Moines.
