PAUL BOELL FAMILY
Paul Boell was born to Henry Boell and Ella Warnke April 11, 1906, near Carroll. He was the second oldest of five children.

During his youth he attended the rural schools near Carroll and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Carroll. He worked two years as a farmhand but spent most of his time helping with the farming at home.

Paul was married to Helen Baumhover, daughter of Louis Baumhover and Emma Buddin, February 12, 1929. To this union five children were born: Louis (married to Lucille Lamp December 15, 1954); Robert, a twin (married to Ruth Mulligan January 10, 1956); Richard, a twin (married to Margaret Dales January 10, 1956); Ella Mae (married to Jon Muenchow May 1, 1965); and Kenneth (married to Cheryl Anderson February 9, 1968).

Paul and Helen farmed in the Templeton, Manning and Aspinwall areas until 1963, when they purchased the Edward Ewoldt farm in Hayes Township, Crawford County.

Grandchildren are Brenda Boell, Duane Boell, Sylvia Bandow, Dean Boell, Sheila Boell, Mary McCammond, Andrew Boell, Alan Boell, Michael Boell, Lynette Boell, Paula Muenchow, Lisa Boell, Jimmy Boell, Marcy Boell, Curtis Boell, Angie Boell and Kenneth Boell Jr. There are five great-grandchildren.

Helen was a charter member of the Happy Hour Club and a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 3517 of Manning until her passing on December 7, 1975.

Paul passed away May 18, 1982, on his farm in Hayes Township.
