Dave, Enjoy your website and visit it often, especially when I want to "visit" Iowa and my birth place area. Moved from Manning community when I was going into the eighth grade for Hamilton County Iowa area. We have family ties still in Manning...my aunt Fern Struve Jensen and Curt Struve family and many others. Janene Struve Barry of Irwin is my sister. Keep up the good work. December 14, 2009

Mr.D.Kusel-thanks to all your historical work you have done for the Manning school book, we have been able to find some of our Manning ancestors obituary's that we were unable to find before. Our great grandfather Milton L. Branson & wife Emma L.Branson, also one of Milton's sisters, a Emma Branson who it appears married Dr.R.Williams of Manning. WWe would be interested in buying a copy of the school history book, also the centennial book done earlier. We still have some Branson cousins/Fairmount N.D. I'll call them./Can't find Marshalltown area obitury's, any suggestions. Looking for David W.Branson & wife Caroline & grandson David Branson. November 12, 2009

I love your website. Manning has a special place in my heart. My grandparents and parents are from Manning and surounding areas. My greatest memories are of Manning. I loved to hear the water tower whistle blow at noon. My dad would give us kids some money and we would go to the bakery to get some "elephant ears" to eat. My grandpa (Barney Neubaum) would take us to the lumber yard where he worked. I can still smell the lumber. My grandma Joens (Freida Joens) made the best bread and it always smelled good in her kitchen. September 30, 2009
