1928 Teacher Elsie Kuhl wrote in her record book in January, "Teacher's desk and chair and desks need varnish ... need a new table or stand for water jar, etc."
1928-1929 Leone M. Lally began teaching the upper grades in September, 1928. She and the following pupils entertained with a program and pie social May 30, 1929: Elmer Lund, Verna Ehrichs, Donald Guth, Esther Pfoltner, Bernice Meggers, Henry Clausen, Orren Schroeder, Alfred Schroeder, Hilda Jansen, Earl Clausen, Edith Lund, Glenn Ehrichs, Merle Schroeder and Wilmer Ehrichs. Expenses were $32.
1931 Graduates May 15 were Hilda Jansen, 13, Orren Schroeder, 14, Alfred Schroeder, 14, and Esther Pfoltner, 13. Their teacher was Vivian Marr.
1932 Graduates May 13 were Earl Clausen, 12, Glenn Ehrichs, 13, Wilmer Ehrichs, 13, and Merle Schroeder, 13. Vivian Marr was their teacher.
1934 Graduates in May were Eldora Meggers, 13, Alma Pfoltner, 14, Ellen Schade, 14, and Melvin Wegner, 14. Their teacher was Delpha Boyer).
1935 Graduates May 17 were Roy Schroeder and Elaine Schroeder, both 14. Delpha Boyens Olson was their teacher.
In 1934 and 1935, teacher Delpha (Boyens) Olson and pupil Elaine Schroeder attended the Masquerade Dance at the Manning Hall and won first prize both years as the "Best Comical Couple." Delpha dressed as the lady and Elaine as the man.

Three Lally sisters taught at various times in the Aspinwall School. Claire, shown in the first photo below, taught the lower grades from 1928 through 1930, and Leone, shown in the middle, was the upper grades teacher those years. Lucille, shown at the bottom; taught the lower grades in 1935-36. Mrs. Olson wrote in the record book that May, "Numbers
8 and 9 are excellent workers. They have completed all of their work in the 7th
grade and reviewed a good deal of 8th grade work." (Students 8 and 9 were
Dorothy Ehrichs and Warren Wegner.)
1937 Graduates May 14 were Dorothy Ehrichs, Warren Wegner, and Milford Wiese, all age 13. Delpha Olson was their teacher.
1938 May 13 graduates were Gertrude Brandt, 14, Margaret Brandt, Virgene Schacht, and Donald Schroeder, all 13. Delpha Olson was their teacher. In May, Mrs. Olson wrote, "Numbers 9, 10 and 12 can cover a lot of material. They are earnest workers. (These students were Betty Lou Ehrichs, Shirley Ann Ehrichs, and Lucille Wegner.)

Danny Peters had the misfortune of falling from the slide and breaking his left arm.
A great change was noticed about the school grounds, at the time school commenced. It was found the schoolhouse had been refinished on the inside and out and the fence and other outbuildings had a coat of glossy white. This work was greatly appreciated by both the teachers and pupils.

A farewell party was given Friday, February 25th,
for Dewey Dean, Donna Fae and Milford Wiese; also
Wayne and Marilyn Schroeder. We have enjoyed having them attending our school
very much and are sorry to lose them. However, we wish them the best of luck
and success in their new locations. A gift of remembrance was given to the above named.
