JOHN HANSEN
John Hansen, 64, of Denver, Colorado, died at his home June 21, 1972. He was a former resident of Irwin.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church here, with the Rev. George McMullen officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Irwin. Pallbearers were Merrill Callender, Mayer Knudson, Myron Kington, Roy Olson, Virgil Crouch, and Lester Hass. Mrs. Ruth Ann Barry was organist and Milton Barry, vocal soloist. The Ohde Funeral Home of Manning and Manilla was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hansen, son of Nick and Anna (Ronnfeldt) Hansen, was born March 12, 1908, near Irwin and attended rural schools near his home. He farmed with his parents until their deaths, his father in 1934 and his mother in 1957. About a year after his mother's death he moved to Denver, working as a carpenter, and later worked for the Petersen Turkey Farms near Denver.

Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Henry Hansen of Irwin, Mrs. Mabel Nordby of Harlan, Louie Hansen and Mrs. Frank (Alma) Perry of Manilla, and Mrs. Albert (Alice) Albertsen of Council Bluffs; and eight nieces and nephews.

Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
